St. Paul's Revisited

While we were touring the main floor of the cathedral, we came across a small plaque all in Latin that we did our best to make out, and were only partially successful. Luckily for us a young gentleman in a sarum (not sure if he was a cannon or deacon) stopped to translate and tells us a little background regarding the small piece of stone that hung on the wall. Though none of us could come up with the name of the Roman Emperor after Nero, I was able to track that information down on the net this evening. Following the overthrow of Nero, there was a period known as the Year of the Four Emperors. The man who seized power immediately after Nero was Galba.

Thanks to the kindness of the staff at St. Paul's with a special thanks to the unknown scholar, but most especially to Dr. Joseph Wisdom. The tour this afternoon was outstanding!
